The new partner ecosystem includes more than 90 companies that have integrated their products and services with Brightcove's new video management platform, allowing video publishers to take advantage of
integration work that its partners have done to make it easier for
Brightcove customers to use their products.
Chris Johnston, Brightcove's director of technology partnerships, says the ecosystem is "divided into three core constituencies: technology partners, to get the technology
plugged right in; distribution partners, to syndicate content out; and solutions partners, to tie it
all together."
For now, Brightcove's technology partners break down further to include advertising and
monetization, mobile, reporting and analytics, search and discovery,
social media, and viewer experience.
Johnston says that the partner ecosystem will allow Brightcove to offer the right solutions to customers without having to develop them itself. That becomes increasingly more important, especially as Brightcove has to do more with less, after laying off 25 employees, or about 15 percent of its workforce.
"There's no such thing as a one-size-fits-all solution. The needs of the music industry are
very different from the needs of broadcasters, for instance," Johnston says. "By being able to build a platform and using all of
these tools, customers can get all of the pieces they need and only the pieces
they need."
Brightcove partners include:
Advertising and Monetization: 24/7 Real Media, Ad Delivery Solutions, Adap.tv, Asterpix, BrightRoll, Check M8, DoubleClick, evenhere, Eyeblaster, Google Adsense for Video, InSkin Media, JD Project, Lingospot, LiveRail, Panache, Platform-A, ScanScout, Smart AdServer, Smartclip, SpotRails, SpotXchange, Tremor Media, Utarget.FOX, YuMe.
Brightcove is certainly showing up very well for the larger institiutions with sizable reasources. We at Veeple do for the small to medium web site and content owner what Brightcove has done for large teir 1 web sites. If one is just starting out then they should have a look at veeple and make any video clickable.
