A week after Warner Music Grouppulled its videos from YouTube, the top record labels are reportedly talking about teaming up on a venture that would compete with Google’s flagship video service.
The music companies are also looking at other options, including teaming up with NBC and Fox-backed Hulu, creating a stand-alone Website, or launching a premium service on YouTube, according to the Financial Times.

Rather than just resell existing TV shows and movies, Nintendo is looking to create original programming for a video service that it is developing for Wii consoles. The game company is teaming up with top Japanese ad agency Dentsu Inc. on the service, which will debut in Japan next year.
Video search engine Blinkx says Shell Oil and ad agency MediaCom are using its new Un-roll advertising unit, which it calls an alternative to pre-roll and post-roll video advertising spots. The Un-roll unit allows Web surfers to interact throughout the entire video, using overlay ads and logos.
