Twitter signed a contract with production companies Reveille and Brillstein Entertainment to allow them to develop an unscripted TV show based on Twitter. It's unclear what exactly the show would involve, but according to Variety it has been described as "putting ordinary people on the trail of celebrities in a revolutionary competitive format." The series concept was developed by novelist and screenwriter Amy Ephron (sister of screenwriter and novelist Nora Ephron).
"We've found a compelling way to bring the immediacy of Twitter to life on TV," Brillstein's Jon Liebman told Variety.
Twitter's Biz Stone posted a blog explaining that "there is no official Twitter TV show," and the site may be involved in a number of potential television projects. Can. Not. Wait.
